IT is a new-look national competition for 2018 with Water Polo Australia revamping the league into the Australian Water Polo League and the season for the UWA Torpedoes begins on Saturday February 3 against Fremantle at Bicton Pool.
Water Polo Australia undertook a review of the National Water Polo League following the 2017 season and the end result has been a rebranding into the Australian Water Polo League.
That has led to a slightly later start to the season as well with proceedings getting underway on the first weekend in February.
For the UWA Torpedoes men and women, that means a Western Derby battle on Saturday night at Bicton Pool. The women’s encounter against the Fremantle Marlins begins at 6.30pm while the men’s battle against the Mariners starts at 8pm. [Read more…]
